Call for Videos

The Society for Pediatric Pain Medicine is seeking engaging and informative video clips that feature various aspects of pediatric pain care to display at the SPPM Global Conference. Our goal is to showcase a diverse collection of content representing multiple disciplines and unique perspectives from professionals around the world that could be utilized as educational or supportive resources for both clinicians and patients/families. The best submission(s) will have an opportunity to be showcased on SPPM Visual Pearl Series and Social Media Platforms.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE IS SEPTEMBER 20, 2024

We welcome submissions covering a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:

- Regional pain management techniques
- Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols
- Interventional pain management strategies
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques and skills (ie diaphragmatic breathing)
- Physical therapy or occupational therapy exercises for common pediatric pain conditions (ie: low back pain, hip pain, IT band pain).
- Complementary and integrative medicine approaches
- Pain educational content for patients and families
- New research findings and advancements in pediatric pain care
- Global health initiatives and their impact on pediatric pain management
- Sustainability and green practices in pediatric pain management
- Wellness and self-care techniques for both patients, families, and providers
- Lighthearted and humorous takes on professional life within the field

We encourage creativity and originality in your submissions. Feel free to share high-resolution videos that demonstrate your educational pearls and/or unique perspective on pediatric pain care. Previously created original content that was shared on social media platforms- Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, etc. will be accepted for consideration.

To submit your video clip, please follow the guidelines below:

1. Ensure that your video is no longer than 3 minutes in length.
2. Submit videos in a high-resolution format (up to 500 MB max) - MP4 format preferred.
3. Include biographic information of the team involved in the making the submission (names, institution, contact information, country of origin)
4. Include a brief description of the content and context of your video.
5. Provide any relevant sources or references used in your video.
6. All AI generated content needs to be disclosed in your video. Video creators are encouraged to use human voice/imaging in the video. Accepted use of AI generated content: patient simulation, translation, data analysis, etc. 

We look forward to showcasing your contribution and providing an entertaining and educational session.

If selected for presentation, SPPM reserves the right to use your video for other educational and promotional activities.
