FAQ

What is the time zone for SPPM 8th Annual Meeting 2021?
Eastern Time (EDT) US.

When will the link for the livestream be available?
The livestream link will be available just before the start of the sessions on the day(s) of the meeting. 

How do I access the live sessions?
You will not receive a Zoom link to view the general session lectures.  In order to view the livestream of the pre-recorded lectures and the live Q&A, you must first log into the Mobile Meeting Guide with the email address you used to register for the meeting. After logging in, navigate to the Program & Syllabus and select Program & Schedule from the drop down menu. To view the video window, select the link that says, “View the Livestream” (see image above). Please be sure to log in early to familiarize yourself with the Mobile Meeting Guide and its features. Each session will start with a live introduction of the speakers followed by the livestream of their pre-recorded lectures. Each session will conclude with a live Q&A with the session speakers.

How will I access PBLDs, Round Tables and Workshops?
These activities will be hosted via Zoom meeting.  The Zoom link will NOT be emailed prior to or during the meeting but will be embedded in the Mobile Meeting Guide.  You will be able to access the Zoom link for your activity approximately 10 minutes prior to its start. The Zoom meeting links will only allow access to those who have registered for the activity.  These activities will not be available for on-demand viewing following the meeting.    

How do I increase the volume on the video stream?
There is a volume control in the bottom right of the video window.  Look for the blue bars.  You may also adjust the volume on your computer.  In the bottom right select the speaker and change your current speaker playback device. 

When will the lectures be available on-demand and for how long?
The lectures will become available for on-demand viewing 3-5 business days following the conclusion of the live meeting.

 


How do I claim CME?
Access the evaluations through the tab in the Mobile Meeting Guide. Complete the evaluations for each session you view (live or on-demand), as well as the general evaluation section. Once complete, you MUST review and SUBMIT your CME credits.

Can I claim CME if I ONLY view the lectures on-demand?
Yes. All attendees, whether viewing the sessions live or on-demand, will have 90 days after the conclusion of the live meeting to complete the online evaluations and claim CME credits. 
                                          


How can I best view the meeting?     
NOTE:
  the best browser for viewing the conference is Google Chrome. Also, While the meeting can be viewed on mobile phones and tablets, resolution may be lower and some functions may not be fully available.

  • Get Ready for the Meeting - Before the meeting begins, make sure you are comfortable in your home office space or where you will view the meeting.
  • Optimize your Audio Environment - Use headphones to minimize background noise. Considering investing in a pair of noise-cancelling headphones to stay laser-focused on the meeting.
  • Check your Signal – Test your internet speed using an online testing application like Speedtest.net. A minimum of 10Mbps for download speed is recommended to view the meeting in higher resolution. Use a wired connection for optimum internet signal strength.
  • Minimize Other Devices Using Home WIFI – Understand that other devices slow your WIFI performance. Cell phones, tablets, SmartTVs and other computers can be attached to the home WIFI. Online gaming uses a great deal of bandwidth. 
  • Become Familiar with the Mobile Meeting Guide (MMG)– Explore the different tabs in the MMG to assist on the meeting day. 
  • Plan Your Day - to maximize your experience – Breaks are part of the meeting schedule, plan ahead for meals and other possible distractions. 
  • Log in Early on the Meeting Day - to avoid missing the start of the meeting.
  • Contact the Help Desk - If you are having trouble accessing the MMG or the meeting – Our staff is available with registration help in advance of the meeting and technical assistance will be a click away on meeting days. 



How can I ask the speaker a question?


While viewing the pre-recorded lectures, we encourage meeting attendees to use the “Ask the Speaker” feature. 

You may submit questions as follows;

1.  Open LIVE stream window to access the Ask the Speaker function for each session.
2.  Submit your questions DURING the session – don’t wait for the Q&A!
3.  Moderators and Speakers can opt to answer questions live during the Q&A discussion or type answers during the session.
4.  Click “like” if you would like to “upvote” questions.


How can I chat with other meeting attendees?
Private messages can be sent and received through the Attendee's Corner in the Mobile Meeting Guide or you can chat with your fellow attendees via the Chat function during the sessions.
